My name is Lisa Hurdiss. I am the founder of Lisa’s Lucky Dogs and have lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for over 20 years. I started my pet sitting business in 2002 and couldn’t be happier. I am insured, bonded, and CPR and First Aid certified by the American Red Cross. I also attend pet sitter conferences and behavior seminars on a continual basis.
Growing up I was always surrounded by dogs. My stepfather trained military dogs and my aunt and uncle raised sled dogs. I was a groomer for over 10 years. I currently share my home with two rescued Pit Bulls, “Dude” and “Stella Blu.” I have a special place in my heart for all rescued animals and, in particular, bully breeds.
In addition to my “regular” clients, other pet sitters and canine behavior specialists entrust the care of their pets to me.
Hi, I’m Jackie Olson and I moved from Chicago to Santa Clarita in 1995 with my two sons, one Rottweiler and one cat. When my youngest son started middle school, I began volunteering at the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. Shortly thereafter, in 2006, I found my true passion – volunteering and/or working with numerous, local animal rescue organizations.
I currently have two rescued cats – Spinner and Clover. I also live with four rescued, special needs dogs. Rodney and Bonnie were removed from abusive situations; Carly, my Rottweiler, has hydrocephalus and very limited vision; and Nugget, my Pit Bull/Great Dane mix, is deaf. While Rottweilers are my breed of choice, I love cats and all dogs, from an Argentine Dogo to a Xoloitzcuintli.
